WE'RE FOUR GENERATIONS OF PLANT PEOPLE
We got our unofficial start in the 1950s, when our grandmother Sylvia took her extraordinary green thumb on the road, traveling around the world with our dad Ernie to look for unique plants to bring home and exhibit at flower and garden shows. They found Ti plants in Hawaii, lavender in England, Massangeana cane in Central America and bulbs in Holland. The folks back home were delighted to find exotics that were easy to grow, and it wasn't long before our company took root.
Today, we still do business with many of the families who originally sold cuttings to our grandmother, and our kids (her great-grandchildren)—all of whom inherited her passion for plants are helping to grow the Roberta's Unique Gardens into the future.
